From the artist:

Lavender Dreaming is part of my Sage Advice Collection was born from a journey through trauma to a better place. 

We all have periods of stress, anxiety and calamity in our lives. What helped me move through that period is the basis for my Sage Advice Collection.

Looking for ways to calm my racing mind I fell back into the joy of scents as way to spark joy. Lavender Dreaming was inspired by the well known notion that the scent of lavender aids sleep, calm and serenity. A few drops on a hankie, tucked under your pillow was a pathway to a better night's sleep for me. 
The ombre effect, light to dark, is my pathway off to sleep with lavender scented dreams taking me to a better place, one without worry and stress. I have walked through lavender fields in real life and now in my dreams too. My use of textured paste is a duel reference to both a pathway and how the lavender flower appears layered as it reaches towards the sky.

While I attribute my own meaning to all my artworks I am super happy for the viewer to find their own happiness and meaning in the pattern, colour and texture. These elements in and of themselves provide calm, restful and restorative properties to one's decor.
