Drop Tapa Earrings - Etched Light Blue Glass

A simple and lightweight earring design, these are cut from an up-cycled bottle using diamond tools and finished with handmade recycled Sterling Silver hooks.  

This design is inspired by patterns found on the Tapa cloth which is made in several different Pacific Islands. Tapa is a cloth made from the bark of the paper mulberry tree, which is beaten to form a sheet and decorated with traditional symbols.
