An ecclectic range of small ceramic pieces that blur the boundary between art and function.

These are small slip-cast porcelain dishes handmade in New Zealand, combining the skills and aesthetics of two artists in collaboration. The design elements and botanical interests of scultor Lindsay Antrobus Evans; and the skill and drive of carver & painter Liz McAuliffe. (We have many more works by Liz McAuliffe at inc design store).

(If you feel very stongly about colour you can message at the time of ordering to request preferred tones but please know not all colours will always be available - message to check first!)

The intention for this range is a purely creative, exploration in colours, glazes, textures. There is no standarisation, uniformity between the colours and patterns, other than their shape and size, so every piece differs from the others. 'Crazing' (a cracked appearance) in the glaze is intentional as part of their ecclectic apprearance - this does not affect functionality, rather it's a detail of their creative form.

We think these beautiful dishes serve many possible uses: useful little dishes for olives, condiments on. platter, jewellery dishes, soap dish, or even hang them on a wall! We think they're at their best as a collection!
