Ever since I was a young girl, drawing was my favourite thing to do (besides climbing trees, building huts and making up my own fairy tales) I was born in Christchurch (New Zealand) but I grew up in the Netherlands where I got my degree in Graphic Design. I came back to New Zealand nine years ago and moved to Motueka.
Here I'm living my dream; being a full time artist.

* Studio Soph is one of our original NZ artists, we have worked with personally for over 10 years. In the past year Soph has enabled the expansion of her creative wares by outsourcing production of some lines under her creative eye. This enables her creative illustrations to be produced in an even more diverse range of quality products, in turn allowing her small business to grow as an independent artist and designer.  For those who prefer the integrity of NZ Designed & made we ALWAYS carry a range of these pieces by Soph too. We are very lucky to have those original works at inc, often made exclusively for us. We refer to those pieces as her 'originals' which she has created and handpainted from scratch. The produced range is like a reproduced 'print' with reference to artworks; the price-point reflects the production process.
