These bokeh paintings are all a form of surrender. Embracing the softness that comes with taking sharp focus off our surroundings – allowing the light to come through, letting go of the nitty gritty and enjoying the beauty of the bigger picture. In particular, the water paintings reference the rhythms of waves and tides (and life), the eternity of the horizon, the vastness, freedom and power of the sea.
